President
Lesley K. Sanders, PsyD
Dr. Lesley Sanders is a clinical psychologist licensed in Washington, DC, and Maryland. She is passionate about working with children and their families who are experiencing difficulties in the area of affect regulation, school performance, attention difficulties, marital discord, and developmental challenges.

Dr. Sanders has specialized training and expertise in the areas of Integrative Medicine for Brain Health, Infant Mental Health, Maternal Mental Health, addressing concerns including feeding/sleeping issues, regulation, transition difficulties, and developmental delays.

Sylvia Sanders, PhD, Literacy
Dr. Sylvia B. Sanders is a literacy consultant and reading specialist. Finding children’s interest is the first important step in helping less proficient readers improve their reading skills. Many times students are identified as having behavioral or discipline problems when the core problem is their inability to read.

​Her role with Lifelong Wellness is to conduct reading assessments, identify children’s strengths, needs, and interests, in the area of reading and provide strategies and recommendations to improve their reading proficiency in the home and classroom settings. She will also provide referrals for individual reading tutors, as needed.

Ellen M. Griffiths, MPH, RD, LD
Ellen Madison Griffiths is a registered and licensed dietitian. She has many years of experience working in a variety of settings including the WIC federal nutrition program, acute care hospitals, nursing homes, group homes, behavioral health facilities, and currently with nutrition services for senior citizens in the District as part of TERRIFIC, Inc. Her areas of clinical expertise include nutrition in chronic disease management especially Type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, weight management, and behavioral health nutrition including eating disorders care and issues of distorted body image. She is the Secretary of the Behavioral Health Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group affiliated with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Tyler Hunter, PsyD Registered Psychology Associate
Dr. Hunter is a dedicated Psychology Associate with 8 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. With a strong foundation in psychological theory and clinical practice, Dr. Hunter specializes in working with diverse populations, including youth and adults, providing comprehensive assessments and tailored therapeutic interventions. Notably, Dr. Hunter has also spent much of her background working in forensic settings (i.e., psychiatric hospitals, detention centers, county jails, police departments), providing therapeutic services to pre-adjudicated juveniles and adult offenders who are often found incompetent to stand trial and/or not criminally responsible.

Robin Closson, PhD
Dr. Robin Closson earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Capella University. She earned an M.S. in Psychology: Child and Adolescent Development Specialization from Capella University and a B.S. in Psychology from Wilmington University. She has nearly 20 years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years and 15 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education as both a teacher and an administrator. Her expertise includes infancy, child, and adolescent development, behavior modification, developmentally appropriate practice and programming, and early childhood education. It is a passion of Dr. Closson’s to help ensure children have equal access to quality care and education through evaluation, consultation, and advocacy services.
